Project Summary
For my Media Design class, I was required to choose a specific brand and come up with a brand campaign and poster design for it. Before creating the final poster, I was required to make 20 poster thumbnails and choose 3 of them to create larger and more detailed roughs. I then had to choose one rough to base my final poster on.
Brand Campaign Idea
For my brand campaign, I decided to focus on the FreeSip lids that Owala water bottles have. These lids tend to be the main — factor of this brand, so I decided to make the big idea of my campaign “Flip, Chug, Sip.”
Poster Thumbnails
It was quite challenging for me to come up with 20 different poster thumbnails. Some of my designs are much more distinct than others, but many of my designs look quite similar to each other. They typically included a large central image of an Owala FreeSip bottle surrounded by text.

Poster Roughs
After finishing my poster thumbnails, I chose three of my favorite designs to make into larger, more structured posters. All of my designs included a large Owala FreeSip bottle in different angles.

Comprehensive
After some feedback, I decided to base my comprehensive on the design of my second rough. This comprehensive poster shows an open and tilted Owala FreeSip bottle. The name of the water bottle is at the top of the poster, along with a brief description of some of the bottle’s qualities. Additionally, there are multiple arrows that point to specific parts of the water bottle and include the main attributes of the bottle. At the bottom of the poster is a link to the Owala website.

Final Poster
After getting feedback on my comprehensive, I created my final poster. I didn’t end up having to change much of my comprehensive, except for including an Owala logo in the title.
